NBA ranking rules are a set of rules for ranking NBA teams' records and determining playoff spots and rankings. It stipulates how to determine the ranking when the records are tied, namely the "tie-break" rule.
How to determine the ranking of two teams?
1) Head-to-head record;
2) Division champions are ranked before non-division champions;
3) In-division record (only if two teams are in the same division);
4) In-division record;
5) Win rate against playoff teams in the division (including teams with the same record competing for playoff spots);
6) Win rate against playoff teams in another division (including teams with the same record competing for playoff spots);
7) Comparison of total points difference.
Are there 32 teams in the NBA?
No.There are currently 30 NBA teams (29 in the United States and the Raptors in Toronto, Canada). The NBA is divided into the East and West, with 15 teams in each.
